Welcome to my blog:).I am Ashwini, an under-graduate student.
In this blog I share my thoughts on normal things happening everyday, sometimes in the form of a poem, sometimes through pictures and sometimes through articles.This blog has been my dreamchild from a long time as I would love to share what I discover and what my perspective is, on some things. And I would like to know yours too:) To discover,share,learn and grow.

Poetry is my hobby..it started way back,when i was in fifth grade. I am a big nature lover, so I started writing poems using them as a medium to express my love for and describe nature's beauty.I have come a long way since.Though most of poems are on nature and my most favourite season, the season of rain.

The love for Photography was instilled in me through my desire to capture the beauty of sunset that we see everyday,outside our balconies and windows. I started clicking when I was in class 9, using my brother's phone camera;) I am now a proud owner of  a DSLR camera.

Well, writing is a medium of expression of our thoughts.And the way I see blogging, it is a digital diary of our experiences, to be shared with everyone.

Oh ,the irony of it!

I love oxymorons. And irony. The world's full of them. So are we. Didn't get my point? Come, let me take you through a journey of the significance of these,umm what do I type,these cardinal words, as I see it. We are progressing at a very fast rate. Sending people to Mars, Big Data, Artificial intelligence, progressing in medicine etc. The knowledge, technology advancements have developed.But have we, as humans developed? Yes, in a negative way. Or, we have, Regressed. Instances of violence have increased. People have destroyed nature.We instead of learning to respect and nurture nature, are destroying her. This is how we are developing. Having evolved to being the most intelligent species on earth, we have, instead of increasing our respect for our Mother, only shamed and humiliated her. Poem

And I'm back with a bang!!!! Meanwhile, this is what happened in AshVland: A poem ;) It rains noisily, I jump and run fast, Trying to find shady trees, my feet splashing against puddles and wet leaves. I run for cover, when I hear footsteps, following me to the tree. My heart lurches and races and pounds to be free. These are the footsteps of my past whose eyes stare at me, boring into the back of my body. I breathe heavily trying to forget my past, watching a thin tree run past. I almost trip, still living in the past. Finally find  a tree, Heave a sigh of relief, only to find that,my past has followed me quietly, to my grief. I try to stare back at it, look it in the eye, it gleams of failures wrought on it. I shut my eyes, unable to bear, try to disconnect, leave it under the tree, yet the heart looks back as I run in front, trying to become free. The rain has stopped. So that was the poem!! How did y
